Magpul PMAG 40 AR/M4 GEN M3

The next-generation PMAG 40 GEN M3 is a 40-round 5.56×45 NATO (.223 Remington) polymer magazine for AR15/M4-compatible weapons. In addition to an expanded feature set and greater compatibility, it incorporates new material technologies and manufacturing processes for improved strength, durability and reliability that exceed stringent military performance specifications.

While the GEN M3 is optimized for Colt-specific AR15/M4 platforms, the modified internal and external geometry also allows it to operate with a number of other weapons such as the HK® 416/MR556A1/M27 IAR, the British SA-80, the FN® SCAR~ MK 16/16S and others.

The PMAG 40 GEN M3 features a durable stainless steel spring, a four-position anti-tip and constant-curve internal geometry for reliable feeding and simple, tool-less disassembly for easy cleaning.

In addition, a redesigned bolt catch notch in the rear of the magazine provides more clearance for the bolt catch, while an overtravel stop on the magazine spine ensures that the magazine is not drawn in too far on compatible weapons. Low profile ribs and new aggressive texturing on the front and rear keep the GEN M3 well controlled in all environments, and a dot matrix with paint pen has been added to the underside of the receiver, allowing the end user to easily mark for identification.

The new, easy to disassemble, flared floorplate facilitates magazine extraction and handling while providing improved drop protection, but is slightly slimmer than before for better compatibility with tight double and triple magazine pouches. An included, removable impact/dust cover can be used to minimize debris intrusion and protect the upper cartridge from potential damage during storage and transport.
